A Word From Tracy Galyon Region 2 Director on ASPAN National Conference

We had a wonderful time and I just wanted to share some of the items that were discussed at ASPAN board meeting for Pre-Conference and the Representative Assembly. Here are the key updates!

Some suggestions for the future!

1.    Make the Willingness to Serve form available on the website all the times.    

2.    We now have a Certification Promotion Strategic Work Team!

      - increases membership and engagement

      - looking at possible opportunities for more specific certification options

            - Pediatrics

            - PAT

3.    Standards are being updated - this is an ongoing process

      - complete a Willingness to Serve Form if you would like to be a part of this

4.    ASPAN is financially sound!

5.    If you are not on the Telegram App - now is the time to become a part of that community.

      - a lot of resources to be able to answer your questions

      - networking resource

6.    Did you know - ASPAN Board meetings are open to our membership and you can attend?

7.    Registration for National Conference in Orlando is 1175!!!

8.    Development Breakfast sold out at 160 participants!

9.    Core Curriculum Update is in progress

10.   Redi-Ref is in progress as well

11.   Perianesthesia Academy had a total registration of 165 and most will be attending National        Conference 

12.   JoPAN has gone totally virtual (must be logged in to access)

13.   ASPAN is now an affiliate with ANA

            Director for Clinical Inquiry: Amy Berardinelli, DNP, RN, NE-BC, CPAN, FASPAN             Director for Clinical Practice: Lori Erni, BSN, RN, CCRN, CPAN

            Director for Education: Antoinette (Toni) Zito, MSN, RN, CPAN, FASPAN

2.    Resolutions 1-5 Passed

Thank all of you so much for a wonderful two years. I cannot express the gratitude I have for each and every one of you - you are all an inspiration to those you are able to mentor and support. I plan to still be involved at the National Committee and will be completing my Willingness to Serve on the Component Revitalization Committee - We will continue to be in touch!
